A zero data value is the first program. Copying a one-based display number directly can select the next patch.
Program numbering · C0 00 → 0 ↔ 1
Bytes in the example are hexadecimal. In channel messages the first byte identifies the type and channel. Subsequent data bytes carry parameters. System messages use other layouts.
