Presenting work links, credits and music experience

MusicianCV editorial draft · Updated 24 October 2026. Examples are illustrative; this guide does not independently verify qualifications or music rights.

Put context next to the link

A reader should see the work title, source platform and your role before opening a link. Explain what a selected passage demonstrates when relevant. A concert recording, studio production and demo create different expectations. MusicianCV uses source links rather than re-uploaded media; that does not automatically verify the link or contribution claim.

Separate credit roles

Composition, arrangement, performance, recording, mixing and mastering are distinct contributions. Name the roles you actually performed. Do not claim another person’s contribution. If the visible source credit differs from your description, check the information before publishing. A mutual in-platform reference or contribution acknowledgement does not automatically change credits at an external source.

Stage and studio experience

Describe the role, period and context. For stage work, explain your responsibility, rehearsal preparation and performance role. For studio work, identify the musical or technical contribution delivered. An illustrative entry is “[Period] — [Project] — [Role] — [Contribution] — [Shareable example].” If a project cannot be named, do not invent an institution or client.

Test source access

Open the link in another session. Tell the recipient about permission, region or account requirements. Some supported sources can play within a card, while others may open their source page. A playback restriction does not mean a file was incompletely uploaded to MusicianCV. Update the portfolio when a source work is removed or its address changes.

Check the sharing scope

Use links and descriptions you are authorised to share. Linking to a source does not mean all contribution claims and usage permissions have been reviewed. Use a private contact card or a professional contact route you deliberately choose to publish. Review the title, credits, date, source access and visibility together before sending.
