Spelling and transposition
Repeat signs tell the player which passage to play again. First and second endings direct different passes toward different endings, so page order and performance order may differ.
Write a bar-number route before rehearsal. D.C. returns to the beginning and D.S. to the segno. Read Fine and Coda instructions in context, and check how your notation player interprets them.
Example
A–first ending–A–second ending repeats a passage with two endings.
